Craig Anderson

Craig Anderson founded SHP and leads its strategic and development initiatives. He is actively involved in the operations of SHP’s community.
Mr. Anderson previously was responsible for managing a senior living investment fund formed with the State of California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). SHP managed the operations of each community owned by the fund.
Craig has over 20 years of combined experience in senior living, investment management and investment banking. Previously in New York, he was at Shattuck Hammond Partners responsible for senior living, Credit Suisse First Boston in the Health Care Group and the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, and was at Merrill Lynch & Co. in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. He has completed over $7 billion of senior living and long-term care transactions. Craig believes that senior living needs to be approached from a combined real estate and health care perspective – he brings both disciplines to bear.
He was born in Florida and received a BA in Finance while graduating with honors from the University of South Florida.
