Edward Nettestad

Vice President, Operations


Edward Nettestad has overall responsibility for the operations of SHP’s home office, Devonshire at PGA National and Chatsworth at PGA National.  He is charged with creating an operational environment that meets the needs and desires of our residents and staff.



Ed has more than 27 years experience in senior housing. Ed has spent most of 2006-2007 as a consultant to SHP doing specialized projects: software training; financial statement development; health care benefit analysis; capital expenditure audit; budget model development, review and interface to the GL system; development of a bridge between the supplies purchasing system with scanners to the resident AR system; development of a bridge between the home health system and the time clock, along with several reports and extensive training to bring consistency and optimization to the home health segment of the business.

Prior to his consulting with SHP Ed spent 18 years with Johnson Ezell Corporation (owner of 3 CCRCs), the final 10 years as Executive Vice President. While at Johnson Ezell Corporation, he was resonsible for the deployment of a state of the art citrix computer system integrating all areas of the 3 CCRCs, all financial analysis, and all CON, Medicare, and licensure applications. Ed was part of the operational team that opened all of the ILF buildings and 2 of the ALF and SNF buildings, in addition to the 3 home health agencies.

Ed received his BA in Mathematics from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and held a Nursing Home Administrator's license from 1986 – 1996.
